The John and Elizabeth Leonard Family Foundation provides assistance to students in mathematics and the sciences to help them acquire the skills needed to compete and be successful in today’s technologically sophisticated workplace and, ultimately, to make a contribution to society.  In addition, The Foundation makes awards to promising young basic scientists conducting fundamental research as well as to clinical  investigators working in translational medicine, translating laboratory discoveries into clinical practice.  Importantly, we also support programs aimed at managing and improving the environment, as well as providing food access, shelter, security and self-sufficiency for disadvantaged persons in our community.

These efforts provide students and others with the skills required to discover and implement advanced medical treatments, to foster effective environmental programs, and to aid less fortunate persons in our community.
